About
Since March 2011 I have held the position of James S. McDonnell Postdoctoral Scholar in Philosophy at Caltech. My research concerns the nature of fundamental physical and special scientific laws, the relation that laws of these two types bear to one another, and the relation that each bears to probability and causation.
Previously, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Konstanz (Aug. 2009-Feb. 2011), working in the context of the 'Causality and Probability Project', a collaboration between the University of Konstanz (Germany) and the IHPST (Paris) that was funded jointly by the DFG and the ANR.
Before that, I was graduate student at the University of Oxford. My dissertation was entitled 'A Probabilistic Analysis of Causation' (a pdf version is available under 'papers').
